  • Visa application form, filled and signed by the applicant (Legal guardian’s signature for minors or incapacitated applicants)
  • Two recent passport-sized photographs
  • Valid passport or travel document, with at least 3 months validity beyond your estimated return date (Include previous passports if applicable)
  • Proof of your regular situation, especially if residing in a country other than your current nationality
  • Valid travel insurance that covers medical expenses, including repatriation
  • Criminal record certificate issued by the competent authority of your home country or where you’ve resided for over a year (except for applicants under sixteen)
  • Request for a criminal record enquiry by the Immigration and Border Services (SEF) (not applicable to minors under sixteen)
  • Roundtrip flight reservation indicating departure and return dates
  • Proof of financial resources equivalent to at least three times the guaranteed monthly minimum salary in Portugal. Alternatively, a “Termo de Responsabilidade” signed by a Portuguese citizen or a foreign citizen with a residence permit in Portugal, guaranteeing food, accommodation, and replacement of removal costs (must be notarized by a Public Notary in Portugal)
  • Specific documents: Declaration indicating the conditions for your estimated stay and proof of submission of a declaration of expression of interest for enrollment in the IEFP (submitted online)

2. Document Translation and Attestation Ensure that all documents are translated into Portuguese or English (if applicable) and attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
